Integration Errors

Integration Errors

Errors can happen during your integration process. You will be notified by email if such an error occurs. The email will contain a link to the Notifications page for the erred form.

For new integration errors, the red Integrations Error Bar will appear along with a red Error Mask over the integration in an error state.

Integration Errors Warning Bar

To view your errors, click on the Integration Errors Bar or the Error Log button at the top of your Notification page. The Error Log button is depicted in the image below.

Error Log Button

When you click the Integration Errors Warning Bar or the Error Log button, you’ll be presented with a lightbox showing all recent notification errors for this form. If a large number of errors have ocurred you may page through them using the Next Page and Previous Page buttons.

Error Email Messages

Wufoo will notify you by email if an integration fails. This email is your opportunity to fix whatever went wrong with your integration and move on. We tried to create an email messaging system that is unobtrusive yet informative, so the following rules for failing integrations stand:

1 email per failing integration per hour - To reduce spam, we will only send 1 email per hour for a failed integration, even if the form is submitted to multiple times within that hour. You can view your errors by clicking Error Log button (see http://help.wufoo.com/articles/en_US/SurveyMonkeyArticleType/Integration-Errors/#intro). You receive one email per failing integration. So, if you have Twitter and CampaignMonitor, you’ll receive one email for each failure.

Messages are sent to the “to My Inbox” address or Account Owner - If you have an address in the “to My Inbox” section (see image below) of your notifications page, then the email will be sent to that address. Otherwise, the email will be sent to your Account Owner (the main email address on your account.)

MailChimp Errors

Below is a list of MailChimp errors and what they mean.

214 Email Address Already Subscribed - This email address already exists in MailChimp so the integration is rejected.

250 {MergeTagId} must be provided. Value must be one of: {something}, {somethingElse} (not {thisThirdThing}) - This error is typically encountered if you changed the choices in a Wufoo Drop Down or Multiple Choice Field associated with a MailChimp Merge Tag. The correct course of action here is to review the Wufoo Field associated with the {MergeTagId} specified in the error. Be sure you Wufoo choices match your MailChimp choices, as described in th MailChimp Integration documentation.

270 “{GroupName}” is not a valid Interest Group for the list: {ListName} - This error is typically encountered if you changed the choices in a Wufoo Drop Down, Check Box, or Multiple Choice Field associated with a MailChimp Interest Group. The correct course of action here is to review the Wufoo Field associated with the {GroupName} specified in the error. Be sure you Wufoo choices match your MailChimp choices, as described in the MailChimp Integration documentation.

Why am I receiving email messages about my Integration?

We try to keep you abreast of errors that occur in your account, so we send you email messages when things go wrong. We send email based on the following rules:

If you have an address in the “to My Inbox” section of your notifications page, then the email will be sent to that address. Otherwise, the email will be sent to your Account Owner (the main email address on your account). To reduce spam, we will only send 1 email per hour for a failed integration, even if the form is submitted to multiple times within that hour. You can view your errors by clicking Error Log button.

I’m think my account is HTTPS enabled, but I still get a 200 error.

First, be sure you understand the https setting means. Once you understand what HTTPS means, be aware that it is possible to toggle this setting on/off. If you think HTTPS is on but you still get the 200 error, you probably have turned off HTTPS for your account. The steps to toggle your HTTPS settings may be found below:

  • Log into Highrise
  • Click Settings (top right cornder)
  • Toggle between On and Off

Highrise SSL

I’m being told my CampaignMonitor ID is invalid, but I know that it’s not.

Two possible errors exist for the Campaign Monitor Invalid API error:

1) You must regenerate your API code - Campaign Monitor automatically regenerated API Tokens for a small percentage of their older accounts. We’ve yet to get a screenshot to show you of the error you’ll see in your Campaign Monitor account, but the following text will be present: Sorry, but your current API key is old and should be updated. Any existing code using this key will still work, but you’ll need to update your key to use any of the newer features of the API. Click here to generate your updated API key.

To fix this error, follow the API Code instructions listed in the getting started guide.

2) You’ve chosen the Client ID rather than the API Key. - Be sure to closely follow the API Code instructions listed in the getting started guide.

What should I do if I can’t find my error listed here?

We do our best to keep our documentation up-to-date, but if you encounter an error that’s not listed here, please let us know so we can add it. You’ll be helping the person guy who comes along with the same problem! You can reach our support team here.
