Exporting Reports

To download report data:

  1. View the report.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the report, click Export Data.
  3. Choose an export format: Excel (.xls), Tab Delimited (.txt), or Comma Delimited (.csv). The .xls spreadsheet works best for Microsoft Excel 2003 and later because it's XML based. If you have an earlier version of Excel, or use another spreadsheet software like Pages or Google Sheets, we recommend exporting the .csv format.
TIP! To add the Export Data button on your report, go to your Report Settings. To control the data people can export, edit your datagrid widget settings by turning off (unchecking) the Allow User to View Columns Not Checked setting and uncheck any field that should not be seen or exported.

Common Questions

Why don't the fields in the datagrid in my report match the export?

This depends on your datagrid widget settings, specifically whether you have Allow User to View Columns Not Checked turned off or on.

To control the data people can export, turn off (uncheck) the Allow User to View Columns Not Checked setting and uncheck any field that should not be seen or exported.

To hide data in the report by default, but allow people to expand the fields shown in report or export all data, turn on (check) the Allow User to View Columns Not Checked setting.

Why can't I print my report?

At this time, due to technical limitations on our end, you can't really print a report from your browser or save it as nice-looking PDF—the Datagrid widget won't display in full and Graph widgets are not included. We're sorry for the inconvenience! You'll need to export your data as outlined above and use Excel, Google Sheets, or another software to make a printable report. Or you can take screenshots of your report.

Can I use the API or other integrations to export?

You can export data from your Wufoo account into another site using one of our integrations. You can also use our API.

How do I download file uploads attached to entries

To download a file upload, open an entry and click the link for the file.

When you export entries in bulk, file uploads aren't automatically downloaded—but there are links to the files included in the spreadsheet so you can download them one by one. If your account downgrades to the free plan, the links will no longer be active.

You can download individual entries or download entries in bulk from the Entry Manager. You can also export data from reports.
