Password Protecting a Form

PAID FEATURE: Password protecting a form is only available on some paid plans—see if it’s on your plan.

Control who can access your form by adding a password. When you add password protection, people will need the password to view your form and submit an entry.

Adding a Password

When people click the link to take your form, they'll be prompted to enter the password before continuing. It's not possible to customize the message on this page.

Adding a Password in Legacy Wufoo

  1. Log in and go to Forms.
  2. Hover over More next to the form you want to password protect.
  3. Select Add password.
  4. Enter a password.
  5. Select Save password.

Follow these steps to password protect your form:

  1. Log in and go to Forms.
  2. Select the . More icon next to the form you want to password protect.
  3. Select the K Set Password icon.
  4. Enter a password.
  5. Select Set password.

Forms that require a password to access will have a K Password Protected icon next to them in Form Manager.

TIP! You can also password protect reports.

 

Removing a Password

Once you remove the password protection, anyone with a link to your form will be able to access it and submit an entry.

Removing a Password in Legacy Wufoo

  1. Log in and go to Forms.
  2. Hover over More next to the form you want to remove a password from.
  3. Click Add password.
  4. Delete the password from the textbox.
  5. Click Save Password.

  1. Log in and go to Forms.
  2. Select the . More icon next to the form you want to remove the password from.
  3. Select the K Set Password icon.
  4. Select Remove password.

 

You can password-protect a form so that people must enter the password to gain access to the form. To add a password: Hover over the More menu next to your form in the Form Manager and click Add Password.
