The Single Line Text field is a single textbox that's most useful for collecting one-word answers and short phrases.

Field Limits

Accepts any text up to 255 characters. Besides this character limit, there's no validation applied by default.

Field Settings

The Single Line Text field type supports the following Field Settings:

• Require an Answer
• No Duplicates
• Encrypt Field
• Admin Only Field
• Placeholder Text
• Pre-Populate Values
• Instructions for User
• Field Size
• CSS Layout Keywords — place fields side by side!

Field Size

You can adjust the Field Size setting to make the field shorter or longer in length. This setting doesn't affect the character limit.
